Sales Executive (Part-Time) - Routd
Routd (pronounced 'Rooted') is a technology-led logistics platform built by operators, for operators - combining over two decades of real-world logistics experience with AI-powered tools to give businesses the capability of an in-house logistics team, without the cost of building one.
We were purpose-built to solve what generic platforms couldn't: the poor visibility, manual processes, and reactive firefighting that plague last-mile delivery across sectors such as foodservice, healthcare, and education.
Our mission is simple - to make technology effortless, empowering businesses to run more efficiently, automate the manual, and grow with confidence.
This is a part-time, hands-on role focused on generating, progressing, and converting new business, working closely with our leadership and operations teams to bring deals to close.
The role:
- Progress and convert the sales pipeline, from lead to signed contract
- Evaluate new opportunities and assess commercial fit
- Lead tender submissions, pricing exercises, and commercial negotiations
- Develop and maintain senior client relationships, supporting retention and growth
- Support client demos and technology-led sales, and feed market insight back to our product team
- Proactively introduce new business through your own contacts and networks
- Represent Routd at industry events to build visibility and generate leads
- Keep accurate pipeline records in our CRM (Odoo) and report on forecast and conversion
Working pattern:
Part-time and flexible - typically 2–3 days per week, with hours and split agreed with the successful candidate.
Location: London-based at our office in Nine Elms.
What we're looking for:
- Proven B2B sales or business development experience, with a track record of closing
- Experience managing a sales pipeline end to end
- Strong commercial awareness across tenders, pricing, and contract negotiation
- Excellent stakeholder and client relationship skills
- A self-starter who thrives working independently within a part-time pattern
- Target-driven, highly organised, and resilient in a fast-paced growth environment
- Desirable: experience in logistics, transport, or contract catering sales, and familiarity with a CRM (e.g. Odoo)
Remuneration:
- Competitive base salary, negotiable and pro-rata, dependent on experience
- Commission on new business as a percentage of first-year contract value, with an accelerator for performance above target
- A guaranteed commission draw may be available during ramp-up, reflecting typical sales cycles
- Indicative OTE and commission rates discussed at interview
