Job summary
Royal Berkshire's digital applications must be operating effectively for theTrust to meet its operational and strategic objectives.As an Advanced Applications Support Analyst you will work in a supportteam, responsible for supporting all RBFT digital applications. This includesthe carrying out of advanced and complex tasks associated with the systemadministration and data integrity of all configuration changes and ensuringthat all Trust level changes are undertaken and synchronised across testand production domains.Responsible for understanding the delivery of efficient and resilientprocesses for the full lifecycle of digital system configuration change.Adherence to policies and procedures which underpin these processes.Ensuring Trust compliance with required Change and Releasemanagement procedures.Responsible for liaising with user departments, DDaT teams and suppliersto ensure appropriate turnaround times for system configuration changesare made.Responsible for supporting all digital systems and connected applicationsdeployment activities and dealing with complex problems.Responsible for working on the system build and workflow on deploymentprojects.Responsible for guiding junior members of staff.
Main duties of the job
oAssist with technical issues and provide guidance for the system in liaison with service users and promote best practice by regular communication with service users and heads.o Participate in project work as appropriate to support system developments and project manage upgrades as required.o Review process specifications from the strategic supplier.o Ensure that upgrades are successfully delivered.o Act as an escalation point for key stakeholders.o Representing the Digital Applications Support Team at Change Authorisation Board (CAB) meetings and ensuring that all application changes have been through the full change cycle.o Fully participate in the go-live preparation and hand over of functional systems and application enhancements into the live production environments within the Trust.o Provide advanced applications support and administration for all digital applications.o Conduct all activities required to maintain the security and system integrity of the data arising from Support team interventions in systems.o The post holder will be experienced in identifying how process improvements and correct system configuration can reduce risk, improve working practices and system performance.o To build strong relationships across the Trust and with management.

Job responsibilities
Advanced Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for all digital applications, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to clinical workflows. Provide advanced application support for all digital systems and applications that are in use at the Trust. This includes any systems and applications managed by shadow IT functions or those that have no specific owner identified and are subject to poor legacy controls. System Integrity & Security: Ensure the security, data integrity, and performance of the clinical systems, monitoring back-office interventions, and resolving any security breaches or system integrity concerns. Escalation Management: Serve as the primary escalation point for key stakeholders, ensuring prompt resolution of critical issues and efficient communication throughout the resolution process. Change and Release Management: Oversee the Trusts adherence to Change and Release Management guidelines, ensuring that system changes are well-coordinated, thoroughly tested, and rolled out without disrupting operational services. Data Quality Audits: Conduct regular Data Quality audits of back-office work and ensure that coding and configuration changes meet the required accuracy and compliance standards. System Configuration: Manage system configurations and updates, working closely with technical teams, clinicians, and other Trust
Person Specification
Experience
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Cerner Millennium EPR system, including Back Office tools.
- Broad understanding of NHS clinical and administrative processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent experience in IT Service Management.
