Cloud Engineer
Job summary
Leadership of the cloud engineering function across the Trust including the development, implementation, optimisation and maintenance of the trust's cloud-based systems, supporting the Technical Architect in delivering trustwide IT projects and solutions.
Responsible for applying software engineering practices to build andmaintain a systemwide Cloud Environment, architectecting, building anddeploying new solutions based on internal customer needs. management.
To be a subject matter expert. Have in-depth knowledge and significantfirst-hand experience of architecting, building and optimising cloudsolutions. Develop and deliver training and coaching for other digitalcolleagues including technical training on relevant architecture, softwarepackages, languages or technical approaches as well as requirementsgathering, specification, design and implementation.
Main duties of the job
o Assist the Technical architect with strategic definition and development of the Trust Cloud architecture. The Trust IT architecture covers clinical and non-clinical systems and support for links and access with the wider healthcare community.oAct as the Trust's Cloud Technical Design Authority who provides a focus for Infrastructure elements of design across all IT systems, hardware and software. Manages the development and adherence to the IT architecture and participates in project governance ensuring alignment of projects within the architectural IT roadmap and strategy of the Trust.o Lead the implementation of cloud architecture solutions across a group of clinical and business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, architecture principles, business capabilities and business requirements.oDevelop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices and ensure adherence to legal and mandated technology standards such as DSPT and cyber essentials.o Apply software engineering practices to build and maintain a system wide Azure environment.o Architect, build and operate new solutions based on internal customer needs

Person Specification
Evidence of Cloud platforms Certification such as AZ900 or AZ104
- Certification from multipal cloud platform provider
- Evidence of Cloud platforms Certification such as AZ900 or AZ104
Cloud and Onpremis Infrastucture exprience
- Exprinece or delivering Cloud Migration, Management as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
- Infrastrcuture as code. Expreince with Terafrom. Hybrid Infrastructure. VMWare
Disaster Recovery and backup
- Execute DR, HA, backup, and resilience designs as part of new platform deployments
- Hands on exprience in using Disaster Recovery and backup
