Job description

Job responsibilities

The Digital Partner serves as the embedded strategic leader responsible for driving digital transformation within the Urgent Care Group. This involves acting as the primary liaison, building strong relationships with clinical and operational teams to deeply understand their needs, priorities, and barriers to service delivery. A core responsibility is leading the planning and execution of digital initiatives, which includes developing project plans, managing associated budgets, creating clear business cases, and ensuring that all efforts align with both the overall Digital Healthcare Strategy and specific clinical and operational goals of the Trust. This role is highly autonomous, requiring the ability to prioritise projects and advocate for staff and patient needs in digital decision-making.

Furthermore, the role demands strong program management and technical advocacy to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new technologies. The Partner must maintain a deep understanding of relevant digital health technologies, manage a log of issues, and proactively coordinate with the central DDAT team to escalate and secure timely resolution of digital challenges. Success is measured by using data analysis and business intelligence to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and drive continuous service improvement. Crucially, the Partner must also lead internal communication, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, leading training workshops, and fostering a culture of innovation and professional development within the care groups.
