  • We are forming new engineering capability in our Alderley Park office to deliver and maintain a new technology solution which will support our financial product offering.
  • We are seeking an expertly skilled and experienced Cloud DevOps Technical Specialist to play a lead role in building amazing digital solutions for our customers and business users. The team will be focussed on delivering a new state-of-the-art investments platform, an undertaking that is expected to take several years.

About you

  • Expert in Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and management, specifically within Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Expert in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Development: Design, implement, and manage Terraform scripts to automate cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring efficient and secure resource provisioning.
  • Expert in CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, integrating Terraform to automate infrastructure deployments with validation and security checks.
  • Experienced in Environment Management: Manage multiple environments using Terraform Workspaces, ensuring best practices for state file management, versioning, and locking mechanisms.
  • Experienced in Workload Design and Management: Design and manage highly scalable and resilient workload solutions including cloud native serverless and containerised workloads to Kubernetes.
  • Experienced in Event Streaming: Design and maintain business critical event streaming capability with Kafka or Confluent.
  • Experienced in Collaboration and Optimization: Work with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, implement monitoring and performance optimization, and ensure security and compliance using Azure tools.
  • Experienced in supporting microservice development and deployment.
  • Experienced in the deployment and management of SQL and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB.
  • Thrives under little to no supervision.
  • An experienced DevOps lead and mentor.
  • Continuously developing new skills, driving best practice, and emerging technology adoption.
