Main duties of the job
As the Digital Educator, you will:
- Lead, design, and deliver a structured digital skills programme aligned to organisational priorities
- Implement the Hospices Digital Skills Programme -DSP, ensuring an appropriate range of digital skills interventions covering clinical and non-clinical platforms and Microsoft applications are in place to support staff over the next 2 years
- Supporting staff and volunteers to build confidence in Microsoft 365 and other core digital tools
- Creating engaging learning content -workshops, guides, videos, bite-sized learning
- Identifying digital skills gaps and tailoring interventions to different teams and roles
- Acting as a digital champion, promoting best practice and adoption across the organisation
- Working closely with IT and business teams to embed digital tools into everyday workflows
- Monitoring and reporting on the adoption, engagement, and impact of digital initiatives
Lead the IT Induction programme, developing the IT induction content in line with current and new digital platforms and implementations.
Embed the programme, supporting staff (such as IPU) to access digital platforms they need to work and thrive in their role. Escalate issues as appropriate.
Lead the Tech Buddy programme, supporting the Head of Technology and Digital to develop this group with regular meetings, comms, training opportunities and acknowledgement.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Understanding of digital learning approaches e.g. blended learning, adult learning principles
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Copilot desirable
- Awareness of digital inclusion and accessibility best practices
Experience
- Experience delivering training, facilitation, or learning programmes
- Experience supporting digital adoption or change initiatives
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary organisation (healthcare or charity desirable
