IT Systems Deployment Engineer| Romsey (Hybrid) | £55ph - 6 month contract

Are you a technical specialist with deep expertise in Microsoft packaging, deployment, and endpoint configuration? Do you enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges and delivering secure, automated solutions at scale?

As IT Systems Deployment Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in packaging, testing, and deploying software and updates across a large, enterprise-level Microsoft device and server estate. Working as part of a forward-thinking IT team, you’ll be responsible for improving configuration management, reducing security vulnerabilities, and enhancing user experience through smarter infrastructure and automation.

This is a full-time hybrid position, offering a balanced working week with 3 days in the office and 2 remote, ideal for a technically confident, process-driven engineer looking to work within a high-integrity environment.

As IT Systems Deployment Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Packaging, testing, and deploying software, OS, patches and updates across varied Microsoft estates
  • Supporting Windows migrations (Windows 10 to 11), OSD using tools such as MDT and defect resolution
  • Documenting and managing configuration standards and processes
  • Designing and implementing solutions that improve compliance and reduce downtime
  • Mentoring colleagues on packaging tools, scripting and Microsoft deployment platforms
  • Participating in secure-by-design infrastructure rollouts and 3rd line troubleshooting

As IT Systems Deployment Engineer, your skills and experience will include:

  • Expert understanding of MSI/MSIX packaging, including transforms
  • Strong knowledge of SCCM, MECM, InTune/EPM, and Group Policy (GPOs)
  • Proven experience with Windows 10/11 deployments and application packaging
  • Scripting skills using PowerShell, BAT, VB, or C#
  • Familiarity with secure infrastructure practices and change control
  • Confident communicator with a self-motivated, detail-driven mindset
