Contract Details
- Role: Product Manager (Fleet Technology)
- Location: Solihull (Hybrid)
- Contract Length: Initial 6-month engagement (3-month rolling contract)
- Rate: £650 per day
- Status: Inside IR35
- Working Pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week
- Office Attendance: Approximately once every two weeks or once per month, with attendance required for key workshops and monthly meetings.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join a large, well-established organisation undergoing an exciting transformation towards a product-led and DevOps operating model. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end success of fleet technology products, driving product strategy, customer outcomes, and business value through close collaboration with technology and business stakeholders.
The Role
As a Product Manager, you will define and execute product strategy, vision, and roadmaps for business-critical fleet technology products. Working within a cross-functional environment, you will balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities to deliver measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to customer and business outcomes.
- Own the full product lifecycle, from discovery and delivery through adoption, optimisation, and retirement.
- Build a deep understanding of customers, users, and business processes through research, analytics, and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, revenue generation, and risk management.
- Prioritise product backlogs and investment decisions based on strategic value and business outcomes.
- Lead discovery activities including user research, experimentation, hypothesis testing, and solution design.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, design, data, and delivery teams.
- Establish and monitor product goals, OKRs, and success metrics.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs across scope, budget, and delivery timelines.
- Champion customer-centric and outcome-driven ways of working.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner.
- Strong background working in agile, product-led, or DevOps environments.
- Demonstrable experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, and prioritisation frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business and technology teams.
- Experience leading product discovery, customer research, and data-driven decision making.
- Commercial awareness with a strong focus on delivering measurable business value.
- Experience working within the energy sector and ideally exposure to fleet technology products.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within regulated industries.
- Knowledge of Product Operating Models.
- Product management certifications.
- Experience using OKRs and outcome-based product management approaches.
