Role Purpose
The Environment & Cutover Manager leads the planning, coordination, and management of all Oracle Cloud applications, platform services, and integrations with internal and external systems. The role owns end‐to‐end cutover planning and execution, ensuring a controlled, low‐risk transition into production. You will work closely with programme leadership, technical teams, Oracle, SI partner and product teams, to maintain a stable, secure environment landscape and deliver a smooth cutover into go‐live and hypercare.
Key Responsibilities
Environment Strategy & Planning
- Maintain the overall Oracle Fusion Cloud environment strategy and lifecycle.
- Define build, refresh, upgrade, patching, cloning, and decommissioning processes.
- Align the environment roadmap with programme plan and phases (SIT, UAT, training, cutover, hypercare).
Environment Management
- Coordination and quality assurance of Oracle Cloud environments, platform services, and integrations across the enterprise system.
- Ensure environments are correctly provisioned, configured, refreshed, and compliant.
- Manage access, data readiness, stability, and scheduling across all testing cycles.
- Ensure environment configurations support all integration flows and dependencies.
- Ensure environment issues impacting testing or cutover readiness.
- Plan and support the decommissioning of legacy systems.
Provisioning, Configuration & Maintenance
- Review and re-baseline the Fusion Programme Environment plan to align with the Fusion Programme Plan, understand the lead times for environment plan refreshes and communicate changes to the plan.
- Coordinate with Oracle, Cloud and Infrastructure, Security and SI partners on modules, integrations, security, and extensions.
- Manage patching, quarterly updates, refreshes, and service windows.
- Maintain environment inventory, baselines, and refresh calendars.
Release & Change Coordination
- Work with Release Management to schedule and deploy code, configurations, integrations, and data.
- Attendance at CAB meetings to support change governance and secure release approval.
- Awareness of configuration release tools and DevOps practices.
- Enforce configuration and environment governance.
- Track defects, risks, and environment-related issues.
Testing & Integration Support
- Ensure environment readiness for ST, FIT, E2E, UAT, performance testing, and cutover rehearsals.
- Coordinate test data, integration connectivity, stubs, and refreshes.
- Support technical triage when environment issues arise.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as primary liaison with Oracle, SI partner, and hosting teams.
- Communicate environment plans, risks, outages, and changes to programme leadership.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance.
Cutover Management
Strategy & Planning
- Own the cutover strategy and master plan covering all technical, functional, data, integration and business tasks.
- Define go/no‐go criteria, freeze windows, and rollback plans.
Readiness & Governance
- Lead cutover readiness checks across environments, access, integrations, data loads, and monitoring.
- Run rehearsal cutovers to confirm timings and dependencies.
- Ensure all cutover impacts feed into risk and change governance.
Execution & Transition
- Act as Cutover Lead during go‐live, managing all teams through the cutover window.
- Provide real‐time status reporting and issue escalation.
- Oversee transition into hypercare, ensuring stability, monitoring, and support processes.
- Manage defect triage and post‐go‐live fixes.
Skills & Experience
Required
- Experience in the management of Oracle Cloud applications, platform services, and integrations with internal and external systems, including development within the PaaS layer.
- Background in large‐scale transformation or cloud implementation programmes.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud architecture, quarterly updates, and provisioning.
- Experience coordinating complex landscape changes across functional and technical teams.
- Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder‐management skills.
- Knowledge of change, configuration, and release management practices.
Desirable
- Experience with OIC integrations and data migration cycles.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security models, IDCS, and access control.
- Experience working with hybrid/offshore teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‐technical audiences.
- Highly organised, proactive, detail‐oriented, calm under pressure, and strong problem‐solver.
