Senior Product Designer

Join a forward-thinking UK energy provider focused on sustainable solutions. We’re seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape and enhance key customer experiences across our client’s digital journeys. You’ll design clear, intuitive, and high-quality experiences across web and app, enabling customers to complete important tasks with ease and confidence.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone with strong end-to-end product design skills, who thrives in complex environments and can move quickly from defining problems to delivering polished solutions. The position is an initial six-month contract with the possibility of extension. It’s a full-time role (37 hours per week) on a hybrid basis, with one day every two weeks in the London office. If this sounds like the right fit, we’d love to receive your CV.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the design of customer-facing digital journeys—from discovery to polished UI
  • Simplify complex service challenges into intuitive, accessible experiences
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, research, content, engineering, and business teams
  • Deliver high-quality interaction design, user flows, wireframes, and final UI
  • Influence product direction through problem framing, ideation, and prioritisation
  • Balance customer outcomes with operational feasibility
  • Leverage insights, testing, and data to continuously improve usability
  • Ensure consistency across the end-to-end journey—not just individual screens
  • Apply and evolve design system components and patterns
  • Advocate for accessible, inclusive, and consistent design standards
  • Enable rapid iteration without compromising quality or craft

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive senior-level product design expertise across complex digital ecosystems
  • Proven track record designing for both mobile apps and responsive web
  • Skilled at simplifying intricate and regulated customer journeys
  • Strong in interaction design, UX strategy, and visual execution
  • Expert in mapping end-to-end experiences, flows, and information architecture
  • Thrives in ambiguity, collaborating closely with product and engineering to shape solutions
  • Data-informed designer, leveraging customer insights and usability testing to refine outcomes
  • Balances pace, quality, and commercial priorities effectively
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders
  • Self-sufficient, proactive, and quick to deliver impact
  • Experience in utilities, energy, or similarly complex service-driven industries
  • Background across account management, service tools, payments, billing, onboarding, loyalty, and self-serve journeys
  • Comfortable working within regulated environments with strong accessibility standards
  • Contributor to, or practitioner within, established design systems
