AWS Data Engineer (Business Intelligence & AI Projects)

Initial 3 months (strong extension potential) | Hybrid (London or Swindon Area)

£450 - £500 per day Umbrella

We're working with a highly regarded organisation within the research and innovation sector that is investing heavily in its data platform and future AI capabilities.

They are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer / AWS Data Engineer to support the development of a modern cloud-based data platform while contributing to exciting AI and Generative AI initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and optimising AWS data pipelines
• Supporting BI reporting and analytics solutions
• Contributing to data lake and modern data platform development
• Developing scalable ETL/ELT processes
• Working on AI-enabled data initiatives and emerging technologies
• Improving data quality, governance, and platform performance

Key Skills Required

• AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, and S3
• Advanced SQL
• Python
• Data Engineering and Data Warehousing
• Business Intelligence / Analytics experience
• Exposure to Generative AI, AI services, or machine learning workflows

Nice to Have

• AWS Bedrock
• Terraform
• APIs
• CI/CD
• DataOps practices
