Research Assistant (Audio)

Contract: 12 months (extension possible)

Working Pattern: 5 days onsite, 40 hours per week

Location: Cambridge

 

About the Role

An exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join a global technology team working on next-generation audio and smart device projects. The role focuses on data collection, experiment coordination, and metadata management within a high-tech research environment.

 

You'll collaborate with engineers, project coordinators, and study participants to ensure smooth execution of experiments and accurate data recording.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate data collection sessions
  • Assist participants through the study process
  • Record, organize, and validate metadata accurately
  • Manage schedules and assist with lab logistics
  • Take ownership of simple technical setups and experiments

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., science, psychology, humanities)
  • 2-4 years' experience in research or data collection
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

Preferred:

  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python or R)
  • Interest or experience in audio, sound, or music
  • Experience working with participants or experimental setups
