Audio Specialist
Research Assistant (Audio)
Contract: 12 months (extension possible)
Working Pattern: 5 days onsite, 40 hours per week
Location: Cambridge
About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join a global technology team working on next-generation audio and smart device projects. The role focuses on data collection, experiment coordination, and metadata management within a high-tech research environment.
You'll collaborate with engineers, project coordinators, and study participants to ensure smooth execution of experiments and accurate data recording.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate data collection sessions
- Assist participants through the study process
- Record, organize, and validate metadata accurately
- Manage schedules and assist with lab logistics
- Take ownership of simple technical setups and experiments
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., science, psychology, humanities)
- 2-4 years' experience in research or data collection
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python or R)
- Interest or experience in audio, sound, or music
- Experience working with participants or experimental setups
