Role Overview — Developer Advocate, Wearables Platform (Reality Labs)
This Program Manager IV role focuses on executing developer programs, driving developer adoption of AI glasses, and building a strong external developer ecosystem for the Wearables platform.
You will:
- Execute developer programs, hackathons (2–3 per year), events, and content initiatives.
- Represent Meta at conferences (4–5/year), meetups, and community engagements.
- Build and nurture a developer pipeline, capture product feedback, and bring insights back to internal teams.
- Lead workshops, labs, and hands-on sessions.
- Support product marketing and local execution of growth initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering, product, developer marketing, and comms teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and educate developers across verticals on building for Meta AI glasses.
- Execute regional developer events, activations, and scaled programs.
- Be the external and internal thought leader for Wearables developer ecosystem.
- Drive content creation: videos, tutorials, online learning materials.
- Collect, channel, and advocate for developer insights into product roadmaps.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver developer success.
- Manage 3rd-party developers hands-on to build integrations for AI glasses.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years working with developer communities (8–10 years preferred overall)
- Strong mobile development background (iOS or Android)
- Proven presentation/event experience
- Strong program management capability
- Experience driving KPIs, measuring program impact
- Cross-functional leadership experience
- Excellent communication & influencing skills
- Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of AI/ML principles
- Experience with Wearables a strong plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Online presence or past community-building work
