We are working with a major UK public sector digital programme supporting critical national services. They are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (NetDevOps) to help design, build, and evolve secure, large‐scale network platforms using modern automation and cloud‐integrated solutions.
This is a hands‐on engineering role for someone who enjoys designing and delivering network solutions, not just supporting day‐to‐day operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and engineering enterprise‐scale network infrastructure
- Building secure, resilient traffic flows across on‐prem and cloud environments
- Working with modern firewall platforms and Zero Trust security principles
- Designing high‐availability routing and network segmentation solutions
- Automating network infrastructure using code, scripts, and IaC tools
- Collaborating with architecture and cloud teams on platform improvements
- Contributing directly to delivery work from day one
What We’re Looking For
- Strong enterprise networking experience (routing, segmentation, resilience)
- Hands‐on experience with modern firewall technologies
- A clear move towards automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with public cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
- A delivery‐focused engineering mindset rather than operations or monitoring
- Comfortable working in hybrid, collaborative environments
Desirable Experience
- Large‐scale or regulated environments
- Modernising legacy network platforms
- Exposure to SD‐WAN or advanced connectivity solutions
This role suits experienced infrastructure or network engineers who want to work on high‐impact public‐sector programmes, applying modern NetDevOps practices in complex environments.
