E-Learning Technology Specialist

The Role

This is a key role within the firm's technology and training function, focused on designing and delivering e-learning solutions that support technology adoption across a global professional services environment. Working closely with IT leadership and functional teams, the E-Learning Technology Specialist will translate training needs into engaging digital content, manage the firm's LMS platform, and contribute to change management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop e-learning programs and virtual courses to support technology adoption
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver training content
  • Create and maintain courseware, training assignments, and learner communications within the LMS
  • Monitor usage and performance metrics to assess impact and identify areas for improvement
  • Recommend delivery strategies that enhance the end-user experience across digital learning platforms
  • Coordinate with IT teams to test and deploy learning technologies
  • Develop custom LMS reports to support planning and performance tracking
  • Liaise with external vendors to adapt e-learning tools to firm needs and ensure LMS compatibility
  • Support contract discussions with vendors by defining technical and instructional requirements
  • Facilitate live and recorded training sessions
  • Stay current with emerging e-learning technologies and instructional design trends
  • Ensure all content meets accessibility and compliance standards

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in e-learning or instructional design from within the legal industry
  • Strong working knowledge of LMS platforms (as developer or administrator)
  • Experience with HTML, video/audio editing tools, and e-learning development software
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of law firm technologies (e.g. collaboration tools, document management systems) is a plus
