As part of a collaborative Technology & Information Services team, you will play a key role in supporting business-critical systems and ensuring users receive an exceptional service.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting a wide range of desktop, laptop, mobile, and remote access technologies across the business. Working closely with colleagues and end users, you will diagnose technical issues, provide timely resolutions, and contribute to the smooth operation of the firm's technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot issues relating to Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Support printers, multi-functional devices (MFDs), and Cisco VOIP telephony systems.
- Assist users with business applications including iManage, Adobe Acrobat, Litera ChangePro, InTapp Time, BigHand Digital Dictation, VMware, VPN technologies, and other firm-wide systems.
- Configure, install, and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and networking equipment.
- Support remote users and resolve connectivity and access issues efficiently.
- Assist with mobile device management technologies including BlackBerry UEM and BlackBerry Work.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining accurate documentation and technical records.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
About You
The firm is looking for a proactive and service-driven IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems and working directly with users.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support, Service Desk, or Technology Support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience supporting document management systems such as iManage.
- Knowledge of legal technology applications, including Litera products, would be advantageous.
- Solid understanding of desktop and laptop hardware, peripherals, and mobile technology.
- Experience with software installations, upgrades, user training, and technical documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.
- Relevant IT support experience supporting end users in a corporate environment.
- Experience within a law firm or professional services organisation would be highly advantageous.
