About the Role
Based at our Actuation Systems headquarters in Wolverhampton, you'll join our Digital Technology team and support the delivery of business-critical digital and operational technology projects.
During the placement, you'll work closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance and Digital Technology to help plan, manage and deliver projects that improve business processes, digital capabilities and operational performance. You'll gain experience across the full project lifecycle, from project initiation and planning through to implementation and handover.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in project management while contributing to digital transformation initiatives, automation projects and emerging Industry 4.0 technologies within a complex manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of digital transformation and operational technology projects.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling and progress tracking activities.
- Apply structured project management approaches to support successful project delivery.
- Help maintain project documentation, reporting and governance requirements.
- Monitor project risks, issues and actions, ensuring timely escalation where required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities and resources.
- Support projects involving digital systems, automation and process optimisation initiatives.
- Assist with stakeholder communications and project updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and business transformation programmes.
- Build knowledge of digital technologies, project delivery and operational excellence.

Candidate Requirements
Essential Criteria
- A genuine interest in digital technology, project management or operational technology projects.
- Understanding of project management principles or frameworks.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
Desirable Criteria
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, IT service management or compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of digital transformation, automation or IoT concepts.
- Interest in aerospace, engineering or other highly regulated industries.
