Senior Contract Recruiter - UK Public Sector

We are looking for an experienced contract recruiter who understands how to sell into the UK public sector and can deliver high-quality contractors at pace. You will already know how government buying cycles work and be comfortable managing relationships across central government, local authorities, healthcare, blue-light and arm's-length bodies.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage a contract recruitment desk focused on UK public sector digital, data and technology roles
  • Work closely with our Residency Director and Delivery team to understand pipeline, live requirements and framework opportunities
  • Identify, qualify and deliver contractors across cloud, data, engineering, cyber, PMO, transformation, infrastructure and other digital specialisms
  • Drive outbound prospecting and relationship-building with hiring managers across public sector accounts
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, compliance, onboarding and post-placement care
  • Support tendered opportunities and SoW engagements where contractor capability is required
  • Maintain accurate reporting, pipeline management and compliance to framework standards (IR35, security clearance processes, CCS rules etc)

What you bring

  • Proven experience in UK public sector contract recruitment (essential)
  • Strong commercial confidence in selling into government departments, NHS, councils or blue-light
  • Ability to build fast, reliable contractor pipelines
  • Understanding of IR35, security clearance routes and public sector buying processes
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset – someone who wins business, not just fills roles
  • Ability to work at pace within a highly collaborative, supportive environment

What we offer

• Competitive base salary and commission structure

• Opportunity to grow a desk within a high-demand market

• Access to major public sector frameworks

• Support from an experienced delivery, compliance and leadership team

• Progression opportunities as the division grows
