Software Testing Apprentice

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to start a career in software testing? Our Apprentice Tester role at SBS offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in quality assurance, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment! This is a hybrid role, working from our Sheffield office 2 days per week.

Role

As an Apprentice Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring our software meets the highest standards of reliability and performance. You will gain practical experience in:

  • Participate in the quality assurance stage of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment
  • Conduct both manual and automated tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and free from any bugs before it reaches end-users
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to log defects, provide regular updates, and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop an understanding of the software development lifecycle, mastering techniques to analyse requirements, design comprehensive test plans, and execute a diverse array of test scenarios
  • Translate complex technical information into actionable insights, effectively reporting on test progress and defects to drive continuous improvement

This is a hybrid role, working from our Sheffield office at least 2 days per week.
