Role: Information Security Manager
Location: Birmingham (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: £ 60,000 - £ 70,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm, Monday – Friday
Interview Process: 2-stage process

The security of information is critical to the ongoing success and reputation of the SCC. The role shall work closely with the CISO to ensure that technological & organisational security practices are in line with the requirement and spirt of standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials amongst many others industry specific standards. Duties shall include managing the information security function ensuring all business units are supported and guided to implement and maintain the technical security of systems and services consistent with SCC risk tolerance. Supporting the business with Security Incidents, managing through to remediation, reporting and driving changes where required.
Security clearance or the willingness to apply will be required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of security analysts, supporting their development and day-to-day delivery.
- Lead Security Incident Management process to resolution, as required.
- Collaboration with Data Protection team where technical controls are required.
- Manage services from (internal) MSSP for SOC & Vulnerability Management.
- Work with technical teams to maintain and improve security of systems.
- Support security training and awareness campaigns.
- Support internal and external audits, contributing clear documentation and continuous improvement.
- Manage security team projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Conducting risk assessments and guidance on mitigation strategies.
- Degree in Information / Cyber Security.
- Proven experience in Information / Cyber Security.
- Professional certification in Information Security Management.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as required.
