The role involves analysingfinancial data, preparing reconciliations, and collaborating with internalteams to deliver clear insights for decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly,and annual financial statements in accordance with UK accountingstandards and management financial reporting requirements. Support and assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, profitabilityand variance analysis through analytical review of areas of responsibility.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure all reconciliationsare completed promptly, investigating discrepancies and resolving issuespromptly to ensure confidence in reported financial information.ensuring confidence in our financial statements.
Support internal and external audit processes, providing documentationand explanations as required. Work closely with other finance and business team members tostreamline reporting processes and drive continuous improvement. Supporting corporate governance and ensure compliance with relevantfinancial reporting / regulations and company policies. On request financial analysis to enable data led decision making.
Take ownership of personal development, building technical accountingknowledge, systems capability and analytical confidence to supportprogression within the finance function. Skills and experience: Part Qualified / Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Inquisitive nature with an appetite to investigate and correct anomaliesand put in place corrective process to ensure business is able to transactaccurately. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reportingsoftware to be able to understand and explain how process translatesinto financial reporting accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment. Presentation and communication skills, with strong business acumen.
Experience of Enterprise wide ERP toolsets, preferably D365 with proven abilityto manage large datasets with multiple financial dimension postings.
