Field Communications Engineer
Job Description
As a Field Communications Engineer you will join a team of dedicated, ambitious engineers in providing a high level of technical expertise and customer service to our clients. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in the telecoms/datacoms industry and a working knowledge of IP networking with a desire to learn new skills and progress in their career . You will be responsible for the installation and support of both hosted telephony and IT/datacoms systems.Responsibilities:Installation and support of telecoms and IT/datacoms systemsUsing Supplier Portals to manage systems and faults.Responsible for generating, monitoring, and handling customer requests, issues, and fault reports.Undertaking surveys and support for technical installation projects.?Provide liaison and guidance to customers and 3rd party IT professionals to ensure quality delivery and support of our solutions.?Produce detailed technical documentation on system installation and support procedures.?Providing customer training Working closely with the service delivery and project teams.Skills Required:Understanding of VoIP, SIP, RTP, TCP & UDP protocols, Layer 2 and 3 routing, VLANs, QoS DNS, DHCP, LANs & WANs and familiarity with using diagnostics tools such as Wireshark.?Experience and or Knowledge of telecommunications solutions including call center and call recording applications.
