Director of Demand Partnerships
SE7EN is seeking a Director of Demand Partnerships to lead our buyer development efforts and aggressively expand our demand-side footprint. This is a high-impact, externally-facing role at the intersection of business development, programmatic strategy, and commercial leadership. You will be the primary driver of new demand relationships. Identifying, pursuing, and closing partnerships with DSPs, trading desks, and direct advertisers who are eager to access SE7EN's premium, high-quality inventory.
We are looking for someone who thrives on sourcing and cultivating net-new partnerships, navigating complex buying organizations, and converting pipelines into revenue. You will own the full demand development lifecycle, from first outreach through activation and scale.
Core Responsibilities
New Partnership Development
- Proactively source and open new demand relationships with DSPs and independent trading desks across North America and key global markets.
- Build and manage a structured pipeline of prospective demand partners, moving opportunities efficiently from initial outreach through contract execution and first campaign activation.
- Lead all aspects of commercial negotiation, including deal structuring, pricing strategy, and contractual terms, in partnership with legal and finance stakeholders.
- Represent SE7EN at industry conferences, trade events, and client-facing engagements as a credible and compelling voice in programmatic.
Strategic Growth & Revenue
- Own and deliver against a net-new demand revenue target on a quarterly and annual basis, with clear accountability for pipeline generation and deal closure.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that align SE7EN 's inventory proposition with the specific buying priorities and performance objectives of prospective demand partners.
- Leverage proof-of-concept deal frameworks — including private marketplace deals and curated deal structures — to demonstrate measurable value and accelerate partner adoption.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with SE7EN 's Publisher, Product, and Ad Operations teams to ensure demand partner needs are reflected in product roadmaps and operational processes.
- Serve as the internal voice of the buyer translating demand-side feedback and market intelligence into actionable insights that inform platform development and go-to-market positioning.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications to develop thought leadership content, case studies, and partner co-marketing initiatives that amplify SE7EN 's brand among buyers.
- Work with revenue operations to maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking across all demand development activity.
What We're Looking For
- 7–10+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, with a minimum of 5 years focused on demand-side development, buyer partnerships, or business development in an ad tech environment.
- A demonstrable track record of opening net-new partnerships and closing commercial deals
- Deep knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSP/SSP dynamics, auction mechanics, deal types (PMP, PG, Open Auction), and buy-side optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and translating technical platform capabilities into compelling commercial narratives.
