Apprentice Software Development Technician

Searchmove have an exciting position for an apprentice that has already achieved IT related skills and is at a higher level but would like to develop further. The right individual would be supported by an experienced software team that have a vast knowledge and may years of experience.

Role

  • Understand Software Development Methodologies
  • Create simple software designs to effectively communicate understanding of the requirement for the development team.
  • Create use cases and/or user stories.
  • Liaise with the software team to deliver and roll out new applications.
  • Test code and analyse results to correct errors found using unit testing.
  • Conduct a range of test types, such as Integration, System, User Acceptance, Non-Functional, Performance and Security testing.
  • Follow software designs and functional or technical specifications.
    Create b2b client api integration documentation.
  • Communicate software solutions and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cyber Risk understanding and risk management to implement security governance and meet regulatory compliance.
  • Data analysis making recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Training

Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification, with training in how to:

  • Write simple code for discrete software components following an appropriate logical approach to agreed standards
  • Apply appropriate secure development principles to specific software components
  • Develop user interfaces as appropriate to the type of component being developed
  • Apply industry standard approaches for configuration management
  • Functionally test that the deliverables for that component have been met or not
