Founding Engineer - £100k plus equity

You're an engineer who gets bored when things move too slowly. You've spent time at places where "move fast" means shipping a few features a month, and you're done with that. You want to build something from scratch, make decisions that matter, and see your work in production within days, not quarters.

This VC-backed startup is automating finance operations for modern companies, starting with accounts receivable—the messy, manual process of collecting revenue companies are already owed. The founders know what they're building, they know who needs it, and they need someone who can turn that clarity into code.

What You'll Build

Own the revenue engine. Build systems that parse usage-based contracts, automatically generate invoices from consumption data, and manage collections. Design APIs integrating with billing platforms, create LLM-powered contract interpretation, and build data pipelines handling complex signals.

Shape the product from zero alongside the CTO. Drive architecture decisions, technology choices, and product direction. Your early decisions define how this company scales.

You're the Right Fit If

• 5+ years building and scaling systems at places that matter
• Full-stack with serious backend chops: TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, Next.js, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse
• Ready to ditch colleagues who think in terms of "that's not my job" - that doesn't exist here
• You care about product and design decisions, not just technical ones
• 0-to-1 thinking excites you more than optimizing existing code
