Job Title: AV Service Desk Technician
Location: St Albans / Hybrid
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Job Purpose Summary
This hybrid role combines service desk administration, remote technical support and occasional on-site service visits. You will act as the central point of coordination for all service and maintenance activities, ensuring clients receive prompt, efficient and well-organised support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming service desk tickets using ServiceNow
- Arrange and schedule service and maintenance visits for engineers
- Coordinate freelancers as required
- Provide remote technical support to clients via TeamViewer
- Attend on-site service calls when necessary (1st and 2nd line AV support)
- Complete detailed service reports following each visit
- Maintain service asset registers following PMV handovers
- Support escalations from 1st line to ensure timely resolutions
- Liaise with clients and contractors to obtain necessary documentation
- Ensure all service tasks are logged, updated and closed within agreed SLAs
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in AV, ideally within service and maintenance
- Proficient in using ServiceNow or comparable ticketing systems
- Strong organisational and scheduling abilities
- Ability to diagnose faults with corporate audio visual systems, ideally including Crestron, AMX, Q-SYS and Biamp
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
