Security Commissioning Engineer
Job Title: Security Commissioning Engineer Location: UK-Based – Must be open to national travel and overnight stays Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE Benefits: Paid travel time, company van (with personal use), fuel card, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, working away allowance, overtime, sick pay, ongoing training, and clear career progression.

The Role: Security Commissioning Engineer
As a Security Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be the final piece of the puzzle – ensuring systems are fully operational, compliant, and ready for handover on complex, enterprise-level Utility projects across the UK.
This role isn’t just about turning systems on – it’s about ensuring performance, quality, and reliability on mission-critical sites. You’ll work closely with clients, troubleshoot complex systems, and represent the company with pride and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and occasionally install CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems across major utility and infrastructure sites.
- Configure and test systems with a focus on Gallagher, Galaxy, and Axis platforms.
- Identify and resolve issues during the commissioning phase to ensure smooth handover.
- Provide technical support and guidance to both internal teams and clients.
- Build strong client relationships while ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are met.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience commissioning enterprise-level security systems.
- In-depth knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.
- Familiarity with Gallagher and other top-tier systems is a strong advantage.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel and work away from home when required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Confident communication and a customer-first mindset.
