IT Project Manager - Manchester - £55,000
About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established, growing organisation that is investing heavily in its technology landscape with a transformation agenda. They are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join their team and take ownership of delivering a range of business-critical IT projects, from system rollouts and infrastructure upgrades to process and capability improvements.
This role sits at the heart of the technology change function and will play a key part in aligning business needs with IT delivery, ensuring each project is delivered on time, on budget, and with clear business benefit.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle, from initiation, design and configuration through to testing, rollout and user adoption.
 - Leading cross-functional teams and coordinating both IT and business workstreams to achieve successful outcomes.
 - Delivering a variety of projects, including new system implementations and internal IT improvements.
 - Managing suppliers and third parties to ensure quality, time and cost objectives are met.
 - Providing regular updates, progress reports and communication to stakeholders and governance forums.
 - Monitoring project budgets, risks and dependencies, escalating when required.
 - Overseeing a smooth transition of projects into Business as Usual (BAU) support
 
About You
- You are a proactive and delivery-focused IT Project Manager with proven experience delivering end-to-end projects.
 - You thrive in fast-paced environments and can balance multiple priorities effectively.
 - You are confident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
 - You have strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a genuine drive to deliver results.
 - You are comfortable managing suppliers, budgets and project governance.
 
Skills and Experience
- Strong background managing IT projects from concept to completion.
 - Experience working in a structured internal IT environment.
 - Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams via matrix management.
 - Confidence managing budgets, costs and supplier relationships.
 - Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
 - Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
 - Flexible with 3rd Party delivery, comfortable with mix of IT projects non-IT projects
 - Office based - this is not a role that can be successfully delivered remotely
 - Project Delivery - set out a plan, communicate it & deliver it - no separate PMO
