Director of Information Technology

IT Director - Fixed Term Contract - 6 months - Potential to go to permanent

A growing international technology business is seeking a senior technology leader to oversee engineering capability, operational excellence and platform reliability.

This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for cloud and infrastructure services, DevOps, integrations, platform operations and technology delivery across a complex customer-facing environment.

Reporting into senior global leadership, the role will play a key part in translating technology strategy into regional execution, whilst ensuring platforms remain scalable, secure, resilient and aligned to long term business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary technology function across cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, integrations and platform operations
• Drive operational excellence across large scale customer-facing technology platforms
• Own cloud infrastructure, platform resilience, observability, release management and CI/CD capability
• Oversee integration capability and support the evolution toward scalable and reusable platform architecture
• Ensure high availability, security, performance and reliability across 24x7 operational environments
• Lead incident management, service improvement and operational governance across technology services
• Partner closely with Product, Architecture and regional leadership teams to align technology delivery with strategic objectives
• Drive engineering capability uplift, leadership development and continuous improvement across the technology organisation
• Manage technology budgets, vendors, cloud spend and operational investment priorities
