Our client is a high-growth, well-backed fintech that is scaling rapidly and looking to add experienced Senior Backend Software Engineers to the their engineerin team.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys building high-scale backend systems, working on public-facing APIs, and solving complex engineering challenges in a fast-moving environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and evolving backend APIs and core platform infrastructure
• Building scalable, resilient distributed systems in a cloud environment
• Working closely with product and UX teams on discovery and technical problem-solving
• Contributing to architecture decisions and engineering best practice
• Supporting performance, stability, scalability, and code quality improvements
• Mentoring others and contributing to a strong engineering culture

Tech Stack: Node.js - Typescript - NestJS - AWS - Terraform - Kubernetes - REST APIs

Experienced and Skills Needed for this role:

• Around 8+ years’ software engineering experience
• Strong backend engineering experience in Node.js / TypeScript
• Experience building and supporting public-facing REST APIs
• Cloud infrastructure experience, ideally with AWS
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• Good understanding of distributed systems, scalability, security, and performance
• Experience in one of the following environments:
• Payments / fintech / financial services
• Large-scale eCommerce platforms
• High-volume transaction environments such as betting, gaming, or streaming

Nice to have:

• NestJS
• Kubernetes
• Experience in fast-paced start-up or scale-up environments
