Network Records Assistant Location: Edinburgh Salary: £29.0k - £34.8k per annum(Dependent on skills & qualifications)

I help to keep people safe and warm by...  Maintaining a current and thorough knowledgeof the Distribution supply system;Supporting development of the supply system in a safe and efficient manner;Carrying out all stages of the NetworkValidation Process to ensure the accuracy of SGN’s Network Analysis computermodels;Determining the optimum method of network operation consistent with minimisingcosts and maintaining statutory obligations; Providing an efficient and effective service to operations departments;What you’ll need Due to the nature of the work carried out byNetwork Planning, the successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range ofactivities from across the SGN business. As such, this is a key opportunity tobe exposed to and develop an understanding of those activities. With a positive and flexible approach to work you will be highly motivated withgood organisational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills. In addition, youneed to be an effective communicator at all levels and be able to act on yourown initiative. Candidate would also be expected to demonstrate high level ofcomputer literacy and associated skills. It is essential that you are committedto the SGN values and play a key role in your team delivering SGN targets whileoperating within our safety golden rules. While any successful candidate wouldnormally be expected to be degree qualified, this requirement may be relaxedwhere candidate demonstrates exceptional abilities in terms of criteriaspecified above.
