Platform overview:

The Role

We're hiring an Applied AI Engineer to help scale Adema's intelligence layer as adoption accelerates.

This is a core technical role. You'll be working on production AI systems already in use, while helping design and deploy the next generation of models, pipelines, and services that will define the platform.

You'll work directly with the founding and AI leadership team and have real influence over architecture, tooling, and technical direction.

What You'll Be Working On

• Production MLOps pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment
• LLM-powered workflows for planning, site intelligence, and decision support
• Graph-based ML models linking spatial, regulatory, demographic, and market data
• A growing recommendation engine and inference services (separate ML services, not monoliths)
• Advanced geospatial intelligence: accessibility, constraints, clustering, and market gap analysis
• Microservice APIs (FastAPI or similar) connecting data, ML inference, and product
• Cloud-native AI infrastructure across Azure / GCP / AWS
• Continuous refinement of existing tools and replacement of legacy approaches with AI-first systems

This is not a research-only role — everything you build is designed to ship and scale.

What We're Looking For

Core Requirements

• Strong Python experience across data engineering and machine learning
• Experience deploying ML models into production environments
• Hands-on experience with LLMs / applied NLP
• Strong SQL skills and experience with structured & semi-structured data
• Experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, and microservices
• Cloud experience (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern DevOps workflows

Highly Desirable

• Graph data, network analysis, or GNNs
• Spatial / geospatial data experience
• Containerisation (Docker / Podman)
