The Opportunity
An established technology consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead Consultant to support enterprise SAP delivery initiatives across complex business environments.
This position offers the opportunity to work on major transformation programmes involving large-scale SAP data migration, governance, and data quality initiatives supporting modern ERP environments.
Working as part of a specialist SAP delivery capability, you will help shape data-led transformation outcomes, ensuring migration and data activities are successfully delivered across business-critical programmes.
This role requires 4 days onsite in the Reading area.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in delivering SAP data migration and data management capability within enterprise transformation programmes. Working across technical and functional stakeholders, you will contribute to migration planning, data governance, solution alignment, and delivery assurance across complex SAP landscapes.
The role will suit someone comfortable operating in fast-paced transformation environments while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing technical expertise across SAP data workstreams.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering SAP data migration activities within complex transformation programmes
- Supporting migration planning, execution, and validation across enterprise SAP environments
- Working with SAP migration and data management tooling to support large-scale ERP transformation activity
- Contributing to data governance and master data improvement initiatives
- Supporting solution teams to ensure data considerations are aligned to wider implementation objectives
- Working across technical and business stakeholders to resolve migration and data-related challenges
- Providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring support to colleagues where appropriate
- Supporting best practice approaches for SAP data quality, migration, and governance activity
Essential Experience
- Strong experience delivering SAP data migration in enterprise environments
- Experience working across SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments
- Knowledge of SAP tables, structures, transactions, and data models
- Experience supporting end-to-end migration life cycle activities including planning, execution, and validation
- Experience with SAP migration tooling and data transformation approaches
- Exposure to technical SAP capabilities such as ABAP, SAP data tooling, or related migration technologies
- Ability to work effectively across technical and business stakeholder groups
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to master data governance or enterprise data quality initiatives
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or ERP implementation programmes
- Previous mentoring, coaching, or capability development experience
- Interest in evolving SAP data technologies and migration approaches
Working Model
- Location: Reading, Berkshire area
- Working Pattern: 4 days onsite per week
- Package: £120,000 - £130,000 guaranteed income with total packages to £140,000 (including bonus and benefits)
Eligibility/Clearance
Applicants must be eligible to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
Due to programme requirements, successful candidates will need to satisfy UK security clearance criteria, including nationality, residency, and background requirements. Applicants should have an established long-term UK residency profile and limited extended overseas absence history in line with clearance expectations.
