You can find out more about us on Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire Description & Scope We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our team and help develop a plug-in within C# or potentially Python, that will speed up firmware updates for our fleet of 800 drilling tools across global field locations. Your project will focus on reducing the update time from 25–30 minutes to just 5 minutes per tool. This upgrade is essential to keep pace with increasing digital requirements and will result in significant cost and efficiency improvements for our business. As an intern on this project, you’ll gain hands-on experience in software development, contribute to real-world engineering challenges, and see the direct results of your work in the field. - Dive into SLB’s cutting-edge communication protocols and build your knowledge and expertise through hands-on learning.
- Translate your insights into working C# code by designing and building a standalone application or plugin.
- Contribute solutions that empower our global field shop locations to service and upgrade our drilling tools more efficiently.
- Play a key role in bringing advanced digital capabilities to SLB’s worldwide operations, helping teams across continents benefit from your innovation and expertise.
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineer or a related discipline
- C# and/or Python programming skills.
