Job Summary:
As a Performance and Logistics Support Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting complex offshore operations, helping to ensure the right people, equipment, and materials are in the right place at the right time.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll play a key role in coordinating logistics activities, tracking operational performance, and supporting the successful delivery of high-profile projects.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills while gaining exposure to the fast-paced energy industry and learning how world-class logistics operations are managed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the coordination of equipment and materials moving between SLB facilities, vendors, and ports of departure, helping to keep operations running smoothly.
- Assist with arranging transportation and ad-hoc cargo services, including heli-freight requirements, to ensure critical resources reach their destination on time.
- Participate in operational meetings, including planning, morning, and load-out meetings, gaining valuable insight into offshore logistics and project execution.
- Help manage personnel rotation schedules, ensuring teams are effectively coordinated and supported.
- Maintain cargo tracking records and contribute to the accurate monitoring of equipment and materials throughout the supply chain.
- Review logistics documentation and packages, ensuring required certifications and paperwork are complete and compliant.
- Support the tracking and management of high-value equipment, helping to ensure visibility and operational efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining compliance documentation for temporary equipment and operational activities.
- Coordinate mandatory safety training and inductions for personnel, contributing to a strong safety culture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and reporting workflow deviations and opportunities for optimization.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of data structures, databases, and data processing concepts
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Pearl, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Understanding of VMware, vSphere, and Windows server management.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Fluency in English
Preffered Skills:
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Interested in risk management and operational planning, with the ability to assess potential challenges and identify solutions.
- Familiarity with logistics, supply chain processes, or the Equinor KABAL system would be advantageous, though not essential.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering discipline.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
