Engineering Technician Apprentice

Role
- Perform assembly tasks for a variety of Electrical Equipment following set guidelines.
- Gain practical experience in working safely and efficiently within an engineering assembly environment.
- Conduct regular assessments and checks to ensure work meets quality standards and learn from feedback.
- Interpret parts lists and drawings to assemble components accurately.
- Ensure correct assembly of all electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, including cable stripping, crimping, and termination.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance assembly processes and product quality.
- Proactively follow directions from Trainers or Team Leaders to complete tasks effectively.
- Conduct testing of sub-assemblies and systems to ensure functionality and quality assurance.
Training
- You will work towards a full Level 3 Engineering Technician standard. You will either be released to college 1 day a week or spend the first year of your course at college. All other training will take place at the employers premises.
- 20% of your normal working hours will be spend doing off-the-job training, which includes attending technical courses, workshops, and shadowing experienced Engineering Technicians.
- Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to stay on in a full-time, permanent position.
