You will generally manage around two projects at any one time, depending on their size and complexity, with project values ranging from approximately £100k to £3m.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Track and forecast project budgets and costs.
- Produce regular project reporting and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Manage suppliers, delivery partners and contracts.
- Develop business cases and supporting project documentation.
- Facilitate technical design discussions and decision-making.
- Lead and facilitate Steering Groups, ensuring effective decision-making and governance.
- Manage project stage gates and escalate risks and issues where appropriate.
- Support procurement activity and commercial processes.
- Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ensure projects deliver against agreed objectives, timescales, budgets and governance requirements.
- Identify and manage opportunities to reduce risk through project delivery.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience delivering IT projects within a structured project environment.

- Experience working with either Agile, Waterfall or both methodologies.
- Strong project governance, risk and issue management experience.
- Experience managing suppliers and contracts.
- Strong budget and commercial management skills.
- Experience presenting to and facilitating Steering Groups.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- The ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and delivery partners.
- A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to understand technical concepts.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative, personable approach and the ability to work effectively within a relatively small team.

Why Join?
This is a great opportunity to join a growing project delivery function where you'll have exposure to a broad range of technology projects rather than being limited to one area.

The organisation also places a strong emphasis on development, collaboration and building a well-rounded project delivery team.
