Maintenance Engineering Apprentice

PCC Aerostructures is looking to appoint an Maintenance engineering apprentices to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks on the engineering equipment. Responsible for supporting with planned and reactive, mechanical, electrical and facilities maintenance duties.

Role

  • Carrying out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on all manufacturing assets
  • Minimising down time
  • Support all aspects of continuous improvement
  • Takes care of the electrical and mechanical settings, documenting them where possible
  • Performs certain measurements, adjustments, tests, and calibrations
  • Make suggestions and propositions to improve the installations and to increase plant availability, quality, and safety
  • Respects Company policy concerning health and safety during activities
  • Able to work under your own initiative with minimum supervision

Training

  • This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering Campus
  • This attendance is required during term time only
  • You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession
  • You will experience a blended learning model
  • For the right candidate who successfully completes this apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress their career with the company
