Location: London (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite)

Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 + bonus + shares

Clearance: Must be SC eligible (or active SC)

The Opportunity

We’re working with a high-performing cloud & platform engineering consultancy delivering into critical UK programmes (including central government).

This role sits within their consulting arm, but importantly you’ll be embedded directly into product teams - building real platforms, not just advising. Expect hands-on engineering, ownership, and working on meaningful systems at scale.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and building secure, scalable AWS platforms
  • Writing and managing infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Building and improving CI/CD pipelines
  • Working with containerised workloads (Kubernetes / EKS)
  • Implementing observability (monitoring, logging, alerting)
  • Collaborating closely with product teams and stakeholders
  • Contributing to platform best practices, reliability, and scalability

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong AWS platform / DevOps engineering experience
  • Solid experience with:
  • Terraform (essential)
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Kubernetes / container platforms
  • Observability tooling
  • Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
  • Strong communicator – able to influence and explain decisions clearly
  • Comfortable pushing back constructively with stakeholders
  • Experience working on real production platforms / products (not just infra support)

💡 Titles we typically see:

DevOps Engineer / Senior DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer

Environment & Culture

  • You’ll be working on high-impact government-facing products
  • Hybrid working with 10am–4pm core hours
  • Ideally 1 day per week onsite
  • Very high technical bar - strong engineers only

Interview Process

This is a 3-stage process:

  1. Terraform Coding Exercise (live / paired)
  • Hands-on and in-depth – we’ll brief you fully beforehand
  1. Technical Interview
  • Deep dive into your experience and projects
  1. Final Onsite (flexible)
  • Meet the team you’ll be joining

Additional Requirements

  • Must be SC eligible (British passport or ILR, 5 years UK residency, clean background) or already cleared
  • Comfortable working in secure / government environments

Why Join?

  • Work on mission-critical UK systems
  • Strong engineering culture with real platform ownership
  • Flexible working + excellent benefits
  • Exposure to modern cloud-native tech at scale
