Director of Business Development – Intelligence | £110k + Bonus | South West / Remote
I’m currently recruiting for a Director of Business Development to lead growth across UK national security & intelligence environments.
This is a rare opportunity to own and scale a high-value business unit within an established consultancy, with immediate access to a major long-term framework and multi-million-pound opportunities.

What you’ll be doing?
- Driving new business across national security & central government clients
- Owning and growing a pipeline of £1M–£4M+ deals
- Leveraging frameworks and routes to market to unlock revenue
- Building relationships within high-assurance environments
- Expanding partner ecosystems (consultancies, primes, etc.)
- Identifying upsell opportunities within existing programmes
- Shaping GTM strategy and influencing senior stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Strong BD / sales background in:
- Central Government / Defence / National Security
- Proven track record delivering multi-million-pound deals
Deep understanding of:
- Frameworks (CCS, DPS, etc.)
- Government procurement routes
- Established network across:
- Government buyers
- Consulting / delivery partners
- Comfortable operating in complex, high-security environments
🔐 Clearance
- Must hold DV clearance or be eligible
- Experience working in high-assurance / secure environments highly desirable

💰 Package
- £110k base
- Bonus (OTE £135k+)
