Digital Transformation Project Manager

📍 Bedford (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

💷 Up to £625 per day (Inside IR35)

We’re supporting an engineering organisation in Bedford as they enter a critical phase of a site-wide Digital Transformation.

The business has strong internal defence focussed IT capability and subject matter expertise. What they need now is someone to bring structure, clarity and programme leadership to shape the overall roadmap and turn emerging requirements into a coherent, deliverable plan.

The Opportunity

The transformation is running across two parallel streams:

• Known change – addressing identified infrastructure and technology improvements
• Emerging change – requirements currently being defined by Business Analysts

Your role will be to bring this together into a structured, phased and costed programme plan.

This is not just coordination, it’s about providing strategic delivery leadership while remaining hands-on.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Senior IT Project Manager or early Programme Manager experience
• Proven background delivering IT modernisation or digital transformation
• Experience developing business cases and structured delivery roadmaps
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping undefined requirements
• Strong planning, cost modelling and governance capability
• Experience within defence, aerospace, government or regulated environments desirable

You MUST be eligible for SC, be UK based and happy working hybrid for this role. Candidates with existing SC will be prioritised.
