Security Analyst

Security Analyst Up to £60,000

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

A fast-growing WealthTech scale-up is looking for a Security Analyst to join its Technology function, reporting directly to the CTO. The business is building a modern platform that helps individuals and families better understand, manage and engage with their finances, and operates in a highly regulated environment.

This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility across monitoring, detection, response and remediation of cyber risks. You’ll work closely with engineering, cloud, risk and compliance teams, as well as an externally managed SOC, to continuously improve the organisation’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, triage and manage security alerts and incidents in collaboration with an external SOC
  • Carry out security scanning; detect and manage vulnerabilities to resolution and reduce operational risks using commercial (CrowdStrike) and open source technologies (Trivy)
  • Manage security tooling and automation to improve detection and response
  • Maintain a security risk register and track issues through to resolution
  • Support security certifications, audits and external assessments
  • Maintain and enhance security policies, documentation and reporting
  • Champion security best practices and raise cyber awareness across the business
  • Introduce and embed tools to enhance Y TREE’s internal capabilities for routine security testing activities

Experience Required

  • Experience applying security controls using recognised frameworks (e.g. ISO, CIS)
  • Background working in regulated environments with strong understanding of GDPR
  • Experience with SIEM, incident response and vulnerability management
  • Familiarity with cloud and application security, including OWASP principles
  • Understanding of modern threat landscapes, including emerging technologies such as AI

Nice to Have

  • Experience in FinTech or financial services
  • Exposure to large-scale or transformation projects

This role offers clear progression. Subject to performance and business growth, the position has the potential to evolve into a Security Manager role, with responsibility for shaping security strategy and building and leading a security team.
