Senior Frontend Developer
HIRING: Front End Lead (React/ Typescript)
Location: Wiltshire, Hybrid (2 x a week)
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Front End Lead to drive the direction, quality, and delivery of modern web experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a team of engineers, shape technical strategy, and deliver scalable, high-quality front-end solutions across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of front-end engineers (code reviews, pairing, career development)
- Own the quality and technical direction of front-end output across projects
- Design and deliver scalable, maintainable front-end architectures
- Support client interactions, workshops, and technical discussions
- Identify and implement process and workflow improvements
- Play a key role in hiring and growing the engineering team
Tech Stack
- TypeScript
- React
- REST APIs / Web Services
- Testing frameworks (unit + automated acceptance testing, TDD)
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience leading or mentoring front-end engineers
- Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
- Experience building performant, scalable web applications
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Commercial awareness and experience delivering to deadlines
Desirable
- React Native or other cross-platform frameworks
- Node.js, GraphQL, or serverless technologies (e.g. Lambda)
- Agency experience
