I’m working with a well-established organisation that’s embarking on a major platform modernisation and integration transformation . The business operates across several dynamic streams - including external partnerships - and is now investing in a new generation of API-driven and messaging-based infrastructure.

They’re looking for a Senior Integration Engineer to take a technical lead role in shaping how systems communicate, scale, and deliver value across the business.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for designing and developing high-performance integrations that connect core systems and partners, using C#, Python, and Azure cloud technologies . This is a hands-on engineering role that also offers the opportunity to influence architecture, best practices, and technology direction.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and maintaining high-throughput, reliable integration components using C# and Python
• Developing and optimising SQL interactions that underpin APIs and message-driven workflows
• Implementing asynchronous messaging via Azure Service Bus (or similar) to decouple systems and ensure scalability and resilience
• Building workflow automations with Azure Logic Apps to orchestrate processes and connect enterprise systems
• Managing API exposure and governance through an API management layer - defining, publishing, and monitoring APIs, enforcing policies, and supporting external partner integrations
• Collaborating closely with internal and external teams to define integration requirements, establish standards, and ensure long-term maintainability
• Championing best practices around API versioning, secure messaging, error handling, monitoring, and CI/CD automation

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and Python in production settings
• Proven proficiency in SQL – from database design to performance tuning
• Practical experience with Azure Service Bus (queues, topics) or comparable enterprise messaging technologies
• Experience using Azure Logic Apps (or similar tools) for orchestration and workflow automation
• Understanding of API management , including governance, security, policies, and analytics
• Comfortable in cloud-native environments , with awareness of automation and modern deployment practices
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills – able to turn complex integration challenges into elegant technical solutions
