The team is made up of technologists, data scientists, and analysts from a variety of backgrounds, including military operations, operational intelligence, law enforcement, cybersecurity, and large multinational organisations. They are focused on designing products that transform how global companies, governments, and non-profits protect themselves from external threats and adversaries.
Position Overview:
My client is seeking a Solutions Architect with strong experience in Azure infrastructure design, hands-on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise, and DevSecOps methodologies.
You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimising secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments, while integrating emerging technologies into production systems.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems architecture and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams supporting national security programmes.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and modular Azure Landing Zone solutions
- Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure using IaC tools (e.g. Bicep, Terraform)
- Apply a strong understanding of Microsoft Landing Zone concepts and best practices
- Integrate emerging technologies (e.g. mobile platforms, geospatial analytics, zero-trust architectures) into hybrid or legacy environments
- Optimise performance, scalability, and cost through monitoring and capacity planning
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and defence partners to meet programme requirements
- Produce clear documentation to support knowledge transfer and audit readiness
Required Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure, Engineering, and DevOps
- Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform or Bicep (Pulumi desirable)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
- Strong networking knowledge (VPNs, firewalls, routing and switching)
- Experience with container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Azure Containers)
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Linux environments, and Ansible
- Strong problem-solving ability and documentation discipline
- Ability to work independently and within agile teams
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting defence, intelligence, or government clients, particularly in secure environments
Desired Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-700, AZ-400)
- CCNA (or equivalent networking qualification)
