Sales Lead (UK Defence)
Location: London (min 1 day a week onsite in London office)
Salary Range: £70k - £120k DOE
Commission structure: Competitive
SR2 is supporting one of our most exciting and desirable clients, who are a trusted consultancy delivering cutting-edge technology into the UK defence and security sector. They solve complex, mission-critical challenges through modern software development, secure platforms and advanced integrations.
This role is for someone with a sales-first mindset who thrives on turning complex relationships into major programme wins. This is a new business focussed role, as you will be focussing on driving business and revenue. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding and proven experience with the UK defence sector and will be able to operate as the Lead person driving sales across the company.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of revenue growth across Defence Primes, Innovators and new areas of MOD. You'll:
- Break into new logo clients across the defence ecosystem
- Build and mature a strategic pipeline aligned to upcoming programmes
- Convert strong relationships into tangible, long-term revenue
- You'll be supported by passionate technologists and delivery experts who care deeply about accelerating digital transformation in Defence.
Experience
- You must have proven experience within defence and a thorough understanding of the intricacies of defence and associated areas
- Proven track record of winning first engagements in new accounts
- Procurement and budget cycles within MOD and the services
- Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying environments
- Able to position secure platforms, modern software and systems integration at a strategic level (without needing to be hands-on technical)
- End-to-end sales experience, from generating leads, building relationships, to closing deals.
