Software Engineer - Java, Node, AWS

We are looking for a Java focused software engineer to join a programme of work with a top consultancy on an FS client.

The work is predominantly Java, building the Back End services behind a client-facing financial product, with Node.js increasingly used in places, so experience there is a real plus. It runs on AWS. This is hands-on engineering on a well-backed programme with clear scope, working alongside a senior consulting team in an environment where both technical depth and professional credibility matter.

What we are looking for

• Strong Back End engineering experience in Java
• Exposure to Node.js, or the appetite to work with it as its use on the programme grows, is a real plus
• Solid AWS experience, building and running services in the cloud
• A track record of shipping production software to a high bar on performance, testing and code quality
• Delivery into regulated financial services is a strong advantage
• Comfortable and credible in a client-facing consulting environment alongside senior stakeholders
• UK based, happy to go through BPSS clearance, available to start within the next two weeks
