2x Product Manager - Inside IR35

We are looking for two Product Managers to support the delivery of a large-scale digital service within the education sector. The programme brings together multiple service lines into a single, user-friendly product currently in live beta, with both an external-facing platform for users and an internal-facing system for departmental teams.This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile service that directly impacts schools and academies across the UK. The role involves working closely with users, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary delivery teams to ensure the product meets user needs, aligns with service standards, and delivers measurable value.Responsibilities

• Represent user needs and insights in internal discussions and decision-making.
• Advocate for user research across different user groups.
• Define, maintain, and prioritise product roadmaps and backlogs.
• Manage delivery of products and services across the lifecycle, ensuring alignment with service standards.
• Define and track KPIs to measure product success, outcomes, and value.
• Use data and research to inform decisions and enable continuous improvement.
• Engage and manage stakeholders, balancing competing priorities.
• Contribute to a product-led culture, advocating for reuse and best practice.
• Support teams to deliver value while managing scope, uncertainty, and deadlines.
• Share work openly and participate in product management community activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 2+ years’ experience in product management within digital services.
• Strong grounding in product fundamentals: roadmapping, customer journeys, backlog management, and product vision.
• Experience working within government or the wider public sector.
• Familiarity with GDS service standards and agile delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work as a self-starter while taking direction from senior product leads
