Key Responsibilities:
Required Experience:
We are looking for an experienced AI Business Process Consultant to support a global AI Centre of Excellence, helping identify operational challenges and turn them into practical, commercially valuable AI opportunities.
This is not a role where the problem statement has already been defined and the consultant simply manages execution. The successful person will work before that point: understanding how a business function operates today, identifying inefficiency and unmet need, defining the future-state process, selecting the right problem to address and building a case that senior stakeholders can support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, current processes, pain points and unmet needs.
- Lead discovery activity, mapping the as-is environment and identifying inefficiencies, manual activity and improvement opportunities.
- Define future-state processes and determine where AI, GenAI, automation or analytics could create measurable value.
- Turn broad or ambiguous business challenges into clear problem statements, prioritised use cases and actionable initiatives.
- Assess opportunities based on business value, feasibility, data readiness, risk and delivery complexity.
- Build business cases that quantify cost reduction, productivity improvement, revenue growth, risk reduction and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate workshops across functions such as finance, accounting, procurement, marketing, HR, operations or shared services.
- Work with AI architects, data, engineering and delivery teams to shape solutions and hand validated use cases into delivery.
Required Experience:
- 7-10 years' experience in business consulting, business analysis, process optimisation, digital transformation or a related advisory role.
- Proven ability to investigate how a business operates and identify the right problem before a formal requirement has been defined.
- Experience conducting discovery, as-is and to-be process analysis, stakeholder interviews and workshops.
- Strong functional knowledge across at least one area such as finance, accounting, procurement, marketing, HR or operations.
- Experience shaping problem statements, business cases, value assessments and transformation opportunities.
- Practical understanding of AI, GenAI, automation or data-led solutions.
- Confidence engaging and constructively challenging senior business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical teams.
