Lead the strategic remediation of a large digital records backlog, providing senior information and records management expertise and clear direction to programme and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, governance and delivery approach for digital records remediation.

Act as the senior SME across information and records management.

Establish clear approaches to retention, remediation, archiving and defensible deletion.

Advise SRO and executive-level forums on risks, options and key decisions.

Translate complex records-management issues into practical recommendations.

Work across technical, operational, legal and governance teams to ensure delivery is achievable.

Provide oversight of risks, dependencies, progress and remediation priorities.

Help establish sustainable controls to prevent future records backlogs.
Essential experience
-
Senior experience leading digital records remediation, legacy records clean-up or information governance programmes.

Strong expertise in information and records management.

Experience in government, healthcare or another regulated public-sector environment.

Credibility operating with SROs, directors and executive-level forums.

Experience balancing governance, risk, technical constraints and operational delivery.

Strong experience shaping strategy and making complex issues decision-ready.
Desirable experience

Healthcare or health-agency experience.

Experience with EDRMS, SharePoint or Microsoft 365 records environments.

Experience managing large, complex digital records estates.
-
Active SC clearance, or eligibility to obtain it.
